A leading producer in the commercial vehicle industry since 1968 with a focus on composite truck aerodynamics asked for assistance in reducing the dangerous goods rating of their mold release process and minimizing buildup on the mold. Their highest volume production part is the wind deflection panel produced via the RTM molding process.

Stoner suggested G610 water-based semi-permanent mold release. In addition to the environmental and safety advantages of our water-based systems, the manufacturer found significantly less styrene monomer buildup on the tool surface after multiple parts were produced. Production could be extended for 2 weeks without stripping and reapplying the release agent!
